printmaking at ROCDA gallery

the press bed - zinc plate, black paper print and embossed 'disc jewellery'

The mighty red press designed and constructed by Chris Fersterer is currently on display in the window of ROCDA Gallery, Dunedin. Today  Marion Wassenaar and I spent 3 hours being 'performing printmakers' (monkeys?) and soon found we were overwhelmed by passerby's wanting to have a go at making emboss prints.  Such fun - good to see the press is getting such a lot of interest. Still thinking up a name for it - possibly the 'M Press'. Another smaller press (for field trips etc) is at the planning stage.
